Presented by Green State Credit Union
More than 20,000 youth age out of the foster care system every year. They can often lack the traditional supports many of us experienced, including life skills, parental financial support and more. This can make their early adult years very difficult; only 3 percent of youth who age out of foster care get a college degree and more than half of young women will be pregnant by age 21.
The Junior League of Cedar Rapids is working to close those gaps to ensure a brighter future for young adults in our community. You can help!
Unstoppable Virtual 5K, presented by Green State Credit Union, to benefit youth aging out of foster care in Cedar Rapids and nearby communities. Enter to win prizes by submitting your race selfie in Halloween costume by using #unstoppablejlcr.
Complete the virtual 5K at your convenience between October 24-31 (ends at midnight on Oct. 31).
Registration is $25 per adult (18 and older). Each adult registration includes a free child registration. Additional child registration is $10 per child (ages 0-17).
