Junior League of Cedar Rapids - Improving our Community
The Junior League of Cedar Rapids serves the community by providing volunteers and funds for community projects. We do this in several ways:
- We host several "Done in a Day" projects through out the year that meet short term needs of other organizations. Past DIAD projects have included book drives, working at the ARC of East Central Iowa's "Arc March," Kids in the Kitchen and many others.
- JLCR selects signature projects that reflect our mission statement. See our past projects and current projects pages for more information on the impact we've made in this community.
- In addition to community projects, the JLCR provides grants to other Not-For-Profit organizations and supports the many League members working with other community organizations and agencies.
Apply for a Community Grant
Applications for 2008/2009 grants must be postmarked by Monday September 8, 2008.
