Partnership with the Science Station

The Science Station, founded 20 years ago by the Junior League of Cedar Rapids, finds itself in need of a revitalized partnership with Junior League. Our members will work closely with the Science Station to identify key areas we can help - including membership, marketing, fundraising and exhibits.

This project was voted in for two years, in 2006.

Habitat For Humanity Woman-led Build

Junior League of Cedar Rapids is providing the “woman power” and Cedar Valley Habitat for Humanity will provide the expertise and knowledge to build a home in the Cedar Valley. Groundbreaking is scheduled for spring 2008. This women led build will take approximately seven months.


Junior League of Cedar Rapids will also be helping Cedar Valley Habitat for Humanity by creating a database of area contractors and construction experts willing to donate their time, materials and resources to not only the JLCR women led build, but also other Cedar Valley Habitat for Humanity builds.
